What is pre-staging, and why do it before hurricane season?

Pre-staging means setting up your water and ice plan, and reserving pallet and truckload capacity, before a storm threatens, so your supply is already accounted for.

Tell us your facilities, headcount and the supply you will need, and we build it into a plan while trucks and product are easy to move. Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30. We supply water and ice and do not forecast storms, so follow the National Hurricane Center and your local emergency officials for storm information.

How much water should my family or crew store for a hurricane?

FEMA's minimum is 1 gallon of water per person per day for at least 3 days.

In Florida heat, plan for 2 gallons per person per day, and store more if you have room. Add extra for pets, children, nursing mothers and anyone with medical needs. Keep commercially bottled water sealed in its original bottles. Our Hurricane Preparedness Checklist walks through the full list.
